I’m keeping Monakhos around as it is. I just upgraded to the new WordPress, so if you see anything strange, let me know. I’ll be changing the style of the blog and consolidating categories in the next couple of weeks.

I guess I’ll post a few things as I think of them until I figure out exactly what I’m doing with this site.

Anyway, I’ve been pondering a question recently, and thought I’d post it on here. Sometimes, writing helps clear up confusion.

Drastic changes are a pain. The kind I’m talking about are confusing, awkward, and painful. So is there really a point in making them? Our physical existence is temporal and not really what matters in the end. The physical does influence the spiritual in some regards, but is it really worth it? Is it better just to wait it out quietly and hope some things get sorted out before the next rebirth?

Well, if you haven’t noticed, the posting has been very sparse for the past year. I’ve now decided this blog is going away. I may archive it somewhere on the site. I think I will be starting a new blog on this site, but I’m not entirely sure yet. It may be a while before that comes to be.

This iteration of Monakhos was basically the story of moving from Christianity and trying to figure out how to synthesize the philosophy and religion of East and West. That phase is now over. I don’t really know that I acheived a synthesis, but I did achieve the right (for me at least) answer.

I don’t want to just continue to post on top of the current blog for a few reasons. First of all, the blog needs updating. It’s running an old version of WordPress, and I’d rather just start fresh than upgrade (I’ve made some modifications to the code I don’t remember and upgrading would be painful.) I also may change the format slightly, but I’m not sure exactly how yet. Ultimately, I just feel like I need to start on a fresh slate.

Thought I’d give all of you a heads up. I’ll let you know when the “upgrade” happens.
