What Would It Look Like?

Sometimes figures get lost when high in magnitude. For example, a couple billion people of the worlds whole population live in Asia. It really doesn’t hit home until brought down to a level that is a little easier to understand. So, what would the population of the world look like if there were only one hundred people? Miniature Earth answers this question. It especially brings to focus the major problems facing a large portion of the world’s population.

    Zach,

Have you read _The End of Poverty_ by Jeffrey Sachs? Its a great book that goes into great detail the problems brought up in this presentation, and has pretty good advice for world leaders to fix them. Now, if only we could get them to read it (or every American and European, but that is a little difficult when we have more than 100 in the world)

    Thanks,

    Tristan
