Taggage
I’ve been tagged by Jon.
The first player of this game starts with “5 weird things/habits about yourself. In the end you need to choose 5 people to be tagged and list their names. The people who get tagged need to write a blog about their 5 weird things/habits, as well as state this rule clearly, then tag 5 more victims. Don’t forget to leave your victim a comment that says “you’re tagged! in their comments and tell them to read your blog.
It seems that most everyone has already been tagged, but I figured I would come out of my hiatus a little early to respond to my tagging.
- I love Cheburashka. It used to be Pikachu, but it has transitioned now more into a Cheburashka obsession, which is better anyways, because I never really liked Pokemon.
- I just realized last week, that I really do like cats after years of thinking I didn’t care for them that much.
- I secretly enjoy pop music.
- I can’t say “roar.”
- I have a wierd accent. I don’t know where it’s from. My parents and sister don’t have an accent, but for some reason I do. Though my parents fervently deny it, I think I was adopted. The problem is I don’t know where I’m from. I pretend like I’m from Canada sometimes, which works fairly well. A few other people think I’m Ukrainian (because I’ve been there a few times.) I always think I’m going to just start lying about it, but then I feel bad.
No tagging for me. I choose to end the war rather than retaliate blindly upon poor innocent bloggers.

Ha! I just heard you say “roar!” Sure, it was a Ukro-Canadian “roar,” but still intelligible!

Great list, Zach. It sounds like we have some things in common:
1. I, too, used to have a Pikachu obsession, but didn’t really know anything else, or care to, about Pokemon.
2. I thought I disliked cats until I realized most cats were NOT like the one I grew up with, who would as soon bite you as look at you. Now I have three of them, and they’re wonderful.
5. My wife is from Canada, but when meeting us for the first time, more people think I’m Canadian because of the way I speak. (I’m from Illinois, originally, and have lived in Michigan for the past ten years.)
And then, of course, there’s the whole interest in mysticism and Eastern thought, which I suppose lots of people would find weird/unusual……

Privet,
If you LOVE cheburashka, you should check out this website I found www.xkluziv.com — in the RUSSIAN section there are very cute russian themed tees and accesories (including CHEBURASHKA!!!) I just got the tote bag and a tshirt :))
Just thought I’d share!
