What is God?

God is one
God is inside of us
God is life
God is love
God is suffering
God is the universe
Both that which we see,
and that which is invisible,
To our eyes and minds.

    Great post!

Could it maybe also be said that…

    God is the many
    God is outside of us
    God is death and transition
    God is unconscious
    God is compassion
    God is emptiness
To no eyes and no mind.

Oh it could go on forever! The beauty of it is you said pretty much the opposite of what I wrote and yet it’s all still so true!

Well, Zach. I’ve found your blog. Don’t know why I didn’t before now. I didn’t realize how much we have in common. I’ll be watching this sit closely in the future.

Re this post: I found two items (in yours and in Trev’s) that seem to me identical: compassion is love.

Love is not a feeling, but an activity. That’s why I prefer love, because compassion is most often thought of as a feeling. It’s doing what’s best for the object, whether that be God, yourself, or you neighbor.

Thanks for your comments, Zach, in the Wisdom group and in my blog. They are much appreciated.
