My Music Experiment

I realized I have a ton of music that I never really listen to. So I am listening to all of it. Some I just haven’t listened to in years, other songs I probably have never heard. There are a lot of CDs I own that I bought at the thrift store or wherever because I liked the artist or a song or two, but never actually listened to the whole thing.

So far, it’s been an interesting experience. I started with Jonathan Coulton - Re: Your Brains. Then it went to A Perfect Circle - Judith followed by a live version of Funky Bitch by Phish. Now there’s a slow Michael Brecker jazz piece playing.

I figure at the rate of listening four hours five days a week, I can knock out my collection in around 100 days. Then I have to find the CDs I have that aren’t in iTunes yet, and listen to those too!

Update: 4000 (out of 4017) songs on iTunes in queue!

I have so many CD’s laying around- purchased with the best of intentions— not to mention all of the old cassettes holding God knows what on them- all stacked in little boxes here and there.

I go on splurges buying & downloading music…and sometimes I don’t know where to stop.

Happy Listening…never know what’s next, do ya?
